A significant percentage of oil and gas reserves (more than 60% of the world’s proven oil reserves and 40%
of the world’s gas reserves) are trapped in fractured reservoirs. In the local region, fractured reservoirs
were found in different type of rock types including clastic, carbonate and igneous. This paper will
discuss about various challenges in such reservoir types faced to the geoscientists. More importantly, we
will talk about how various datasets including outcrop, seismic, conventional & advanced well logs, static
and dynamic well data can enhance the understanding of the naturally fractured reservoirs as well as
improve drilling success. Case studies will be presented.
Welcome ALL students and professionals to attend this presentation.
Please be punctual.
